About us
AMOVALE (Association of Residents and Friends of the Bocaina Valley) is a non-profit community organization founded in 2013 in Bananal, a town in São Paulo state, to develop socio-environmental and cultural projects. Our activities cover the Bananal river valley area and is located at the Ecological Station of the Bananal buffer zone. The Ecological Station is an area of over 800 hectares reserved for environmental education and research of the Atlantic Forest biome.
Our Association seeks to mobilize local society through our developed actions. Our main focus has been to reforest the bank areas around the Bananal river and its springs with native trees from the Atlantic Forest biome. Through partnerships and the contribution of friends and associates, we have obtained resources to sponsor our projects.
